About Spirit of Dance Company
Cartersville’s family dance studio since 2000.
About Spirit of Dance Company
Spirit of Dance Company was founded in 2000 by Ms. Tanecia Weems and became an LLC in 2007. We teach ballet, tap, lyrical/contemporary, jazz, praise, hip-hop and tumble, choreograph special dances for quinceañeras and bat mitzvahs, and bring creative movement and after-school dance programs to daycares and elementary schools.
Ms. Tanecia trained in Atlanta at Atlanta Ballet, Gotta Dance Company and Dancical Productions. She teaches every level, from 3-year-olds to adults, and started our competition team in 2004.
The studio grew from a dream of giving the youth of Cartersville and the surrounding area a quality school of dance in a positive, nurturing atmosphere. We combine top quality instruction with affordable prices.

What parents say
“We are thrilled with what Ms. Tanecia has taught our 3 year old in such a short amount of time. She is very professional, knowledgable and kind to our shy and clingy daughter.”
“My daughter loves Spirit of Dance! We just finished our first year of ballet, tap and jazz. Her recital was amazing and all the kids did a fantastic job!”
“Miss T is patient, knowledgeable, and has great rapport with her students. The vibe is very relaxed and welcoming, which has not always been my experience at other dance studios.”
